Our team here at Creative Dining Services is excited to announce our recent partnership with Shipt, an American grocery home delivery service in over 260 cities across the United States. Our partnership will bring flexibility, accessibility and convenience to college students.
Today’s students value convenience especially when it comes to groceries. A recent survey by RBC Capital Markets in March of 2020 found that 55% of respondents had purchased groceries online on a grocery home delivery service; which is up 19% from last year with the key factor being COVID-19.
With the heightened stressors and rigors that go hand-in-hand with academic demands along with the fear and uncertainty that the pandemic brought to college students, our formalized partnership streamlines the convenience and safety of receiving drugstore items (toothpaste, aspirin, hand sanitizer), fresh produce and food items to resident halls and off campus housing with the click of a button. For the 2021/2022 academic year, students at 25 of our college and university partnerships will be able to bundle their meal plans with grocery delivery service.
Students will enjoy one of two options:
- The ease of having one of our culinarians prepare them a meal during their fast paced and busy schedule
- The opportunity to order ingredients to their door with Shipt to cook their favorite recipes from the comfort of their own home
